Planning for the convention is going great!  It will be a wonderful convention filled with informative focus sessions, 22 exhibitors, and a ton of fun!!  Don’t miss out on one of the biggest benefits to being a member of LASN!!!  Find the perfect job or a spot in a graduate program!  We are having a Chapter Participation Challenge for the convention.  Each school chapter is challenged to bring 20 members to the convention. Award for “Most Association Members to Pre-Register for Convention

The school chapter that has the highest number of association members to pre-register for the convention will be recognized.  To be considered as pre-registered, a student must have submitted their registration form by September 30th.  LASN will determine the winner.  No submission is required by the school chapter.  All school chapters should have a representative at the Awards Banquet on Saturday night

Due to the evacuation of Hurricane Gustav and Ike the deadline is now September 30 for PRE-REGISTRATION, SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS, ELECTION APPLICATIONS, AND AWARDS APPLICATIONS!!!!!!  The date to turn in membership applications remains September 30!

 

We would like for every member in the state to get involved in LASN.  Two easy ways are to run for an office or to apply for a scholarship.  All offices on the board are open for election.  To run for elected consultant, one must serve on the LASN board a previous term.  LASN also has four scholarships that are available- Financial Need, Academic Achievement, Break through to Nursing, and Student Nurse of the Year!  For all information visit the LASN website at www.lasn.org.
