                          Nursing is an important job. Many times in the work place, our customer’s can’t tell us apart from the other professionals. Making the most of our personal presentation is as important as promoting our profession. Read Image is Everything and learn a few valuable tips on projecting the best of our job and our profession.

                          Because nurses go far beyond what is expected, and usually do it all without being given proper credit, we need to become more assertive in making known our appreciation for all the efforts given so unselfconsciously. The article by Beth Ulrich “The Honor System” lets us know there are ways to show our appreciation for nurses that go the extra mile.

                          Nurses are the caregivers. It is well known that we are the ones holding hands of a grieving loved one, wiping the tears of a sick child, comforting the family members of someone that has just gotten some bad news. We also are the ones that with compassion administer medications to relieve pain and educate family about a disease process.
